

Dr. Robert E. Lamb
The conductor of the chorus is Dr. Robert E. Lamb who came to EFSC in 1998 to continue steering the chorus in exciting directions. Under his leadership, the chorus has continued to tour Europe during summers and has performed a number of times alongside the Brevard Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Lamb is currently Professor of Music, Director of Choral Activities, and Discipline Manager of Performing & Visual Arts at Eastern Florida State College.
The North Carolina native attended Wake Forest University and later the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where, he earned a Master of Music in Choral Conducting. Lamb earned the Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He was the 2006 recipient of the Julius Herford Prize, awarded by the American Choral Directors Association, for his doctoral work concerning French Baroque composer, Michel-Richard de Lalande.
